Taranaki E-Learning Trust

Set up in 2008, Taranaki E-Learning Trust is working to eliminate the digital divide in Taranaki and Central North Island. We run the successful Computers in Homes programme, and have graduated nearly 1,000 families, giving them the opportunity to have a computer and subsidised internet in their own home. Parents/caregivers are able to have 20 hours basic computer training, then they graduate and take home a computer or laptop.

Taranaki E-Learning Trustees meet monthly on the first Monday. The AGM is in August/September each year, and all are welcome. Notice of time and date of the AGM is posted in the local newspapers each year. Training courses are run throughout the year; please contact the Coordinator Christina Turner on 027 699 7429 for more information. In early 2017, we are planning courses in Hawera, Waitara, New Plymouth and Stratford, as well as Taupo and Turangi.
