It's a non-contact martial art. Iaido - a Japanese swordsmanship. We train with a practice Iai sword and 12 styles of Zenken Seitei Iaido and Muso Shinden ryu katas.
Iaido is the oldest form of authentic Japanese martial art, developed over 400 years ago. It's an art of drawing and striking with a Japanese sword called an Iaito or a practice sword to dispatch an opponent. Training is done in the form of kata which are fixed forms used to defeat the opponent in different scenarios.
We practise Zen Ken Seitei Iaido and Koryu (old style) - Muso Shinden Ryu Iai Omori Ryu (Shoden) under the guidance of AKL Iaido Club.
We train on Mondays 5.45 pm till 7.15pm To join you must be 16yo and above
