As set out in the marae charter, the Trustees are charged with ensuring the continued protection and future development of the Waiokura Marae and reserves for all whanau. This will be done through effective administration and accountable management systems by the elected marae and reserves trustees.
Waiokura Marae exists as a meeting place for tangihanga, huihuinga, wānanga, whanaungatanga and other various kaupapa initiated by and for our people. The collective vision of this document is to provide an environment that will sustain and nurture the future needs of all uri, whanau and hapu who whakapapa and affiliate to Waiokura Marae.
